Check out some of the most unusual yet interesting laptop concepts that will entirely change the way you work on your portable systems, once they will be real in the future.
Computer on Your Wrist. Developed to be worn as a bracelet, this computer concept is constructed out of a flexible OLED touchscreen. Earmarked for the year 2020, features like a holographic projector (for screen), pull-out extra keyboard panels and social networking compatibility, make the concept plausible.
Dell’s Eco-Friendly Froot. Designer Paulina Carlos has made a bold leap to introduce a computer without either a monitor or a keyboard.The Froot makes use of laser technology to create a computer monitor of sorts, a keyboard and a mouse for any flat surface. If you have this light gadget, you don’t need to carry your heavy laptops everywhere.
D-Roll. Check out this next generation notebook concept from designer Hao Hua – dubbed the D-Roll, or rather, digital roll in full.
Canvas Laptop Concept. A designer named Kyle Cherry has developed the laptop of the 21st century. Keeping the design clean and simple so artistic efforts are unhindered, auxiliary controls sit outside of the keyboard area and include a four-way navigation joystick.
The Siafu concept notebook. The idea behind Siafu was to give people with vision loss an intuitive computer experience. Images from applications and Web sites are converted into corresponding 3-D shapes on Siafu’s surface.It can be used for reading a Braille newspaper or feeling the shape of someone’s face, for example.
Vaio Zoom notebook. The Zoom supposedly utilizes holographic technology that has been condensed into a thin glass form factor. Featuring a holographic glass screen that goes transparent and a keyboard that turns opaque when turned off, it’s slick and beautiful. Even the mouse buttons are holographic.
Compenion laptop. Felix Schmidberger design for a laptop for 2015 with OLED touch screen. It consists of two sliding OLED screens, one of which can be used as a keyboard, where necessary. The idea behind the Compenion Laptop is it’s versatility to transform into several types of portable devices via a range of docks. By the looks of things the docks include; a media player dock with built in speakers, a projector dock, a drawing-board style sketch dock, and an e-reader dock.
MacBook 0801. This concept was created by Isamu Sanada. The keyboard of MacBook 0801 is transparent and ultra thin, that will give you a new concept of laptop.
Cario. This sick Laptop was designed by Anna Lopez. A slim line, lightweight concept Notebook for the mobile worker and can be carried around by its handle, placed like an easel or even placed, and used, on a car’s steering wheel.
Nokia’s Scroll OLED Laptop. Another member of the “scroll” family, Nokia’s scroll OLED laptop concept was conceived by Rodrigo Mercado with distinctive entertainment functions. With a wide viewing angle, low power and high contrast ratio, viewing things on the laptop will certainly become more fun.
MacTab. It is ultra Portable Complement to Macbook by Yann Le Coroller. The MacTab is equipped with a very thin wireless keyboard and when it’s not in operation it will be use to cover the screen for transportation. On the back of the computer, a hinge allows it to be put in a vertical position so you can use Mactab comfortably on your desk.
LG e-Book Laptop Concept. LG introduced e-Book, an ecological laptop concept that uses fuel cell batteries and features organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display technology. The batteries of the LG e-Book use natural gas, methanol, and other eco-friendly liquid fuels. The fuel is stored in a transparent cylindrical hinge.
Canova Dual Screen Laptop. The Italian company V12 Designs has devised a new version of the ‘Canova’ which is a dual LCD laptop. The notebook features dual display with touch-sensitive screens, sketch pad, music score, graph paper, an electronic pen and a dedicated hardware for its smooth functioning.
B-Membrane laptop concept. Created by designer Korean Won-Seok Lee. The B-membrane is a user friendly computer with a membrane like key-board which appears when it is needed, integrated optical drive and when not used as a computer, the projector can beam ambient light effects on any surface you desire.
