LG Optimus 3D

The UK release of the LG Optimus 3D is now just weeks away, LG has confirmed, some four months after it made its official debut at the Mobile World Congress way back in February.
A somewhat opaque and grammar-mangling press release from LG announced that smartfans in Blighty will be able to get their hands on the latest addition to the Optimus range “over the next several weeks”.

The phone, which will be the first-ever glasses-free 3D capable phone to be commercially available on these shores, caused something of a stir at the MWC thanks to its on board stereoscopic tech that enables users to record and watch video in eye-popping three dimensions.
Elsewhere, it’s home to a dual core processor, now de-rigeur it seems for top of the range Android smartphones, plus an expansive 4.3-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen and offers a choice of tens of thousands of apps.
The handset packs Android 2.2 out of the box, but an update to the latest version of the OS, AKA Gingebread, is scheduled to be rolled out soon
